Built a design system that unified a disparate platform

How I architected and scaled Assent's first enterprise design system (Meridian)—leveraging a Series C rebrand to unify platform UI, launch the Design Guild, and power AI-accelerated workflows.

Role: Director of Product Design / Head of Design Systems
Problem: Assent’s multi-product platform suffered from severe UI fragmentation, including over 24 typography styles, scattered color tokens, zero component documentation, and massive cross-team rework.
Solution: Conceived, architected, and led Meridian—Assent’s first unified enterprise design system. Leveraged a Series C rebrand as an organizational catalyst, implemented a component lifecycle tracked against production code, launched a cross-disciplinary Design Guild, and trained AI models on 68 standardized components.
Strategic Impact: Transformed design into a reuse-first platform discipline, saved 3-5 hours per designer weekly via AI tooling, and established the UI cohesion cited as a top-5 commercial win driver in European enterprise expansion.
